COMPTON MAYOR ERIC J. PERRODIN AND COMPTON CITY COUNCIL HOST THE 120th ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION FEATURING LIVE PERFORMANCE FROM R&B SUPERSTARS TANK, MIKI HOWARD, CONFUNKSHUN AND MORE!!

The City celebrates 120 years in style with R&B, Latin and Gospel Music and comedy in front of Compton Court House. Mayor Eric J. Perrodin and the City Council will host a series of concerts in front of Compton Court House celebrating the 120th Anniversary of the City of Compton.

The events will take place May 9 - 11, 2008
behind the Compton City Hall located at 205 S. Willowbrook Avenue, in the City of Compton, 90220.

The celebration will kick off on May 9th with opening remarks from Mayor Perrodin and local dignitaries and continue with live musical performance from current top charting and classic artists including Tank, Rolls Royce, Miki Howard, Confunkshun and Tierra, just to name some. This is a FREE event, open to the public. This event will also feature a carnival, culture vendors, foods, and arts and crafts for young children.

Festivities will begin
Friday night, May 9th at 5:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m.
continue on Saturday, May 10th from 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
and conclude on Sunday, May 11th from 11:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
