Dr. Asomugha is a widow and a renowned prayer warrior who has lived beyond her grief and uses her experiences to inspire others. She is a published author of five inspirational books (www.lilieforinspiration.org) and a devoted advocate for women and children. Her compassion to help, educate and empower the needy and helpless has no boundaries and has earned her several awards including, The Ambassador of Goodwill Award, Life and Times Achievement Award and the Woman of Proverb Award. She is the first woman to receive the Akanu Ibiam (Nigerian) Humanitarian Award in diaspora. She has also been recognized and honored by several past and present members of the California assembly, congress, and senate, including mayors and govenors. She is a mother and grandmother of many. Her friends call her the “Woman after God’s heart”.
The Asomugha Foundation: Dr. Lilian I. Asomugha, the President of The Asomugha Foundation, holds two doctorate degrees in Pharmacy and Naturopathic Medicine from The University of Texas in Austin and the College of Naturopathy in Warsaw Indiana. She is best known for her kindness and willingness to reach out and make a difference in the lives of others. Her passion for helping less advantaged widows and orphans led to her founding of OWIN – Orphans and Widows In Need Association and co-founding of many other non-profit organizations that support individuals in need. She is a motivational speaker who has spoken internationally and at home on issues affecting women and girls.
